The Westend Festival Glasgow.2015
Usually held around the end of May,start of June. This is a celebration of the people and the talent in and around the Westend. Everything from plays, comedy, street performers and stalls. The event which can run for 3weeks in various venues across Glasgow. Is highlighted by a huge event in the Kelvingrove Park. This event includes a popular parade of various Glasgow groups. I love it so you just might ,too.
I visited the Parade, in Byers road on the 7th of June,2015. The event was very busy and I would advise going on public transport(parking was a nightmare). Thousands of people attended. There were all manner of stalls selling exotic foods ( even a Pizza cone)and shiny trinkets, live street music and lots of street performers. They even had a girl playing a Harp. If you don't know Glasgow's West end...then this is a standard occurrence. I visited the Botanic gardens. Which was holding a craft fare and also was the staring point of the Parade. The craft fare was excellent selling everything from designer jewellery ,paintings and plants.
The parade had over 600 people taking part and was mainly made-up of  local Community groups. My favourite was the Samba dancers. If you wanted you could join the parade at the back and follow it Dow the various Glasgow streets. I never but you could.
Next weekend 14th of June 2015 is the Mela. I Intend to visit this event and tell you all about it.

I applied for Tickets to the Filming of "The Mountain Goats" to be filmed on the 21st of May at the Pacific quay, Glasgow. I received the tickets (Home printed ) and will tell you how the evening went.
Doors opened at 6pm ( be early it gets busy).i was greeted by BBC staff who directed me to queue and after some security checks we were ushered into a studio.Refreshments including a drinks bar were available to purchase and after a quick briefing we were shown into our seats in the Studio. We were greeted by the floor manager who handed us over to the warmup man. This award winning comedian had us laughing all the way through. We watched the recording of the show ( really funny) the retakes and the bloopers. The whole evening lasted from 5pm when I arrived till I left at 10pm. The filming was just over 3 hours but felt like half an hour. I really enjoyed it and considering it's a free ticket, I would recommend to you. If you have any additional support needs please make them aware at the point of applying.
