The World Piping Contest, Glasgow.
An International, annual event held in Glasgow green. This event takes place in August and comprises of pipe bands from all over the world. This event is a must to see in person. The sights and sounds are amazing. Here is a link to this years event

World Piping
The Edinburgh Festival and Fringe Festival. Over 50,000 acts to see from music, comedy, children's shows,theatre and the Military Tattoo. Held in August every year in the city of Edinburgh. This annual celebration is an ideal opportunity to catch anything from free shows to huge international acts.These festivals are easily assessable from North Lanarkshire by car, bus and train.
