Glenboig. Community charity that provides help and support for various groups and individuals in the Community. With a Café, Community hall, Elderly befriending service and a subsidised mini bus hire service to other charity /local groups. About Kirkshaws Neighbourhood Centre

 is a well-established community management facility that operates a broad range of services (and opportunities) 6 days per week. 28 separate user and/or community groups currently operate from the Centre. The Centre offers a wide variety of activities for local residents ranging from cookery classes, childcare and children’s activities to IT training and a Work Club programme aimed at young unemployed and longer-term unemployed.
